Women's History Month Staff Feature | Interview with Sarah Rodriguez
What advice would you give women who aspire to your success?
Set big goals for yourself, know your worth, work hard and really commit to your success. Don’t strive for perfection. Instead, celebrate every small achievement you have, learn and grow from what has and has not worked and never underestimate yourself. On your journey, be humble, operate from a place of integrity, and always continue learning. Surround yourself with passionate, like-minded people, ask questions, listen to their stories and experience. Knowledge is power.
Who is your favorite female figure in history?
There are too many to name. I’m greatly appreciative of all the women trailblazers who have broken glass ceilings throughout history and celebrate women now who are committed and continue to improve our society one generation at a time.
What is one thing others can do to empower the women in their lives?
Encourage a woman to be her authentic self. I believe that empowered women go on to empower others so encourage the women in your life, make them feel special and strong.
What is something you will be doing this month to celebrate women and women’s history?
I personally connect with all of the amazing women in my life to share with them how smart, strong and appreciated they are! Celebrate women’s achievements! Tell them how amazing they are and how they have positively contributed to your life. Nothing is more empowering than telling another woman how amazing she is.
