Pride Month | Chicagoland Pride Events in 2023

As Pride Month 2023 draws to a close, Chicagoland is showing its support for LGBTQ+ Chicagoans by holding numerous events this weekend! From the Chicago Pride Parade organized by PRIDEChicago, to weekend-long parades and other events across multiple neighborhoods in the city and suburbs, there’s no shortage of events to get involved in and show your support for. Chicago Pride Parade


The 52nd annual Chicago Pride Parade, organized by PRIDEChicago, is one of the oldest and largest parades in the country. The parade traditionally concludes the city’s month-long pride celebrations. The parade starts at Noon from Broadway and Montrose, proceeds south on Broadway; then south on Halsted; then east on Belmont; then south on Broadway; then east on Diversey to Cannon Drive. The four-mile parade route travels through the Northalsted, Uptown, Lakeview and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. This year’s parade will feature 150 floats, performance groups, marching bands, walking contingents and decorated vehicles.

Pride in the Park Chicago

Location | Butler Field, Grant Park, Chicago

Pride in the Park Chicago, one of the largest LGBTQ+ outdoor music festivals in the nation, celebrates equity, diversity and good times in Grant Park each June. The premiering headliners for 2023 are Grammy-winner DJ, Zedd; Grammy-nominated rap star, Saweetie; queer icon, Years & Years; internationally acclaimed singer, Zara Larsson.

Navy Pier Pride

This free, full-day event celebrates diversity, inclusivity and support for the LGBTQ+ community. Festivities include live music, educational programs, performances from local LGBTQ+ artists, on-site resources from community partners and more.

Pride Bowl 2023

Location | Cricket Hill fields, Montrose Beach, Chicago

Pride Bowl is an annual flag football tournament held on Chicago’s beautiful lakefront, presented by the Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association. The tournament features both Open and Women’s divisions, with champions crowned across multiple tiers. 

Pride South Side

Location | DuSable Museum, 740 E 56th Pl, Chicago

Pride South Side started as a small picnic in 2017 as a way for Black queer people and other LGBTQ+ people of color to celebrate Pride. It’s since has grown to a full-scale festival, which returns Saturday, July 1st at the DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center and other venues across the South Side.

Pride North Chicago

Location | Morse and Glenwood, Rogers Park, Chicago

Pride North Chicago is Chicago’s Largest North-side Neighborhood Pride Dance Party taking place each year in June. Featuring DJ’s and live entertainment, and fun to be had by all, this free event takes place in Rogers Park, right off The Morse Stop on the CTA Red Line.

Evanston Pride Queer Maker's Market

The Evanston Pride Queer Maker's Market, a family-friendly event held at beautiful Raymond Park, champions community creativity while helping to support the spectrum of local LGBTQ+ community members in the Evanston area.
