Working Moms Day | Showcasing the Moms of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty

Today is National Working Moms Day, a day to recognize the contributions of hard-working mothers and reflect on the balance they strike between work responsibilities and home life. Because of their determination, working moms help keep their families afloat and their communities thriving. Let us applaud these dedicated women for their hard work in honor of this day.

“Being a working mom has connected me to the community in so many different ways. You would be surprised how social being a mom will make you, from striking up conversations with fellow moms or strangers who compliment your little one, to baby activities. Most of my clients have met our little one due to childcare closures and the fact that being a realtor is a 7 day a week job. Honestly I think my kids are an asset to my business and am so happy that I get to introduce them to the world of new developments, design and real estate. We are a real estate family through and through!”

I became a mom during the first year of the pandemic and was lucky enough to have my husband working at home to divide and conquer daily tasks. It’s certainly not easy, and I’m still reminding myself that I can’t do everything, but I certainly try. Some days it’s an elaborate home cooked dinner, some days it’s takeout, and that’s okay! Being a working mom helps to really prioritize what’s super important and what can wait until tomorrow. I couldn’t do it alone and I'm so grateful for my tribe— both personally and professionally. Hat’s off to all the working moms (and Dads!). Breathe, that laundry can wait.”

“Juggling a career and 3 busy kids has forced me to be more flexible, to teach my kids how to be independent, and prioritize what is most important. I have had to come to terms with the fact that I can’t control everything and to grant myself grace when things go sideways. Working from home during the pandemic reinforced this, with me needing to be 100% present in my job as well as 100% present as a mom. Advice I would give new working moms is you will not read every school email, your kid may not have the best packed lunch, and you may not know it is picture day, but it is okay. In the eyes of your children, no one does it better than you.”

Working from home has made me a more energetic, positive, and happier mom! I was home with my two kids from June 2020 through December 2021. Finding consistent childcare was key for us, and as soon as we found something that worked, we went all in. I haven't looked back! I am thrilled to be with Jameson and learn from the best.
